Christmas is a reminder that God has given us a life on the love letter of Jesus. Our Hope for the world comes from outside of it. He’s our Hope for tomorrow and our Truth for today. He’s our Peace. Our Light in the darkness. And He is with us.
As we commemorate the birth of our Savior, it’s hard to imagine a more chaotic arrival; unimaginable family drama, and a bounty on the head of a helpless infant. But here God is — peace Himself — in the midst of chaos. This Christmas, remember that Peace is a person. And He’s come.
Many of us are familiar with the story of Jesus, His virgin birth, the wise men, and so on. But what’s less talked about in the Christmas story is the dysfunction surrounding His birth.
