Was The Bible Written By White People?
The Bible is authored by forty human authors who were divinely inspired by the Spirit of God over a span of 1,500 years.
These individuals lived at different times, some separated by hundreds of years, and had various occupations from business people to fisherman and shepherds, to preachers, physicians, and kings. They came from all different aspects of life. And yet, not one of them was White.
Most of the people in the Bible were Jews of middle eastern descent. The early Church was a movement of Christ-followers consisting mostly of colonized people who had suffered under military occupation in the Middle East and Africa. Matter of fact, our current concept of race and whiteness did not even exist during the time that the Bible was being written.
